Roy Gabbay

Roy Gabbay was born in 1991 in Queens and continues to live in Forest Hills, New York. He began making art as a young teenager and his interest grew exponentially in the inclusion program he attended at Francis Lewis High School in Fresh Meadows, New York.

A talented artist, Roy draws, paints, sculpts and takes photographs. His highly-detailed art is surrealistic and has been influenced by psychedelia artwork and music and his love of heavy metal: progressive rock music has had a substantial influence on his work, particularly Metallica, Tool and Pink Floyd. Roy is also passionate about science fiction and nature.

In February, 2013, Roy began attending the Pure Vision Arts studio five days a week and is currently focused on building his portfolio. In his spare time, Roy has a passion for Yu-gi-oh! and competitive video games. He also enjoys playing the guitar, writing poetry and traveling.
