Alba was born in New York City in 1983 and has been passionate about art since she was a young child. She attended The School for the Future until age 21 where she completed a multimedia portfolio. Alba has been attending Pure Vision Arts since 2007, where she creates abstract expressionistic paintings characterized by a vivid sense of color and rich surface textures. Her paintings are included in numerous private collections.
In addition to being an artist, Alba has been an intern at the Metropolitan Museum of Art since 2006. She works in collaboration with a facilitator studying art history and gives tours to children, adults, and special needs audiences. She also teaches art to children who have cerebral Palsy at the Standing Tall School in Manhattan.
